London: Experimental Biomaterials Workshop Series w/ 'The Biodesign Collective'

I have been invited by the amazing ‘Biodesign Collective’ to give a series of workshops at UAL, The Hub!

In the Experimental Biomaterials Workshop Series, you will get an introduction to Biodesign and learn about processes and recipes to produce your own experimental Biomaterials for your eco-friendly design projects!

This is a workshop series and takes place at the UAL - The Hub:

Dates:

29.-30.03.2025

4 Workshops á 1,5 Hours (90 minutes)

10 Participants max. per Class

ALL TIMES ARE IN GMT (LONDON TIME) ZONE!

Price per Workshop:

1 Workshop: 45£ (5£ Website transaction fee included)

(All Materials included in every class)

Please bring:

1 x Apron or work clothes

2-3 x Lunch boxes, cardboard boxes for transporting the experiments

1 x Notebook or your iPad or Laptop


To make larger Biomaterial samples, please bring your own large molds and consider the return transport after the class.

About the Guest Speaker/Designer:

Alicia Valdés is a multidisciplinary designer based in Paris, working at the intersection of bio-design, materials, fashion and art. In the summer of 2023, she graduated with a degree in Textile Design from the University of Applied Sciences. Her work is deeply rooted in designing with and for nature. She is driven by the passion for finding new solutions to current problems in the textile and fashion industry.

She has been given workshops in Berlin, Paris, New York, Los Angeles and México City.
